this boot is marketed as the stiffest in the line, but is less stiff than my previous year's Seth, which is supposed to have an 8 tongue. The semi transparent lower plastic on this years model deforms and isn't as stiff.

I use these boots for quite a bit of on piste skiing however the past season did a lot more park time. they were brilliant! i've had previous boots that ruined my shins after a day of skiing but with these and their double padding I wouldn't have known i had done of a day of skiing.

I was under the impression that my feet were wide because they are long (13.5 street shoe). Got sized by a few different stores and was told that I was mistaken, that my feet are average width. FT boots were recommended by a few shops.

These boots are super comfortable like advertised, but do not give anything up in performance. I was worried they would not provide a secure heel hold compared to my dalbello's with the instep buckle. If anything, they are more secure and responsive. They also got more comfortable the longer I wore them.

I don't even unbuckle them when I go into the lodge. I wear them as snug as I can buckle them too. They are more comfortable than my snowboard boots used to be.

Im a big strong guy, and the flex on these is just right for me. I would rate it around a 110-120.

So, these are great for me. I am Joe average in the foot size department. Warm, comfortable, awesome performance, easy on and off, light weight, what is not to like? The 10 tongue provides such a supple smooth, supportive, resilient, non shin banging forward flex, I ponder what a 12 flex tongue might be like. I am 60 YO, 165lbs, skied 50 days a year for 40 years now, FYI.
The real story is, I have a friend who has 15AAA feet.(!!) I have seen him go through at least 20 sets of boots over the years, some leaving him literally crying in pain. He got a pair of First Chairs a week ago. This is the first boot he EVER got that fit him right out of the box with no mods at all. For that reason I suspect he loves his FT's more than I love mine.
I would say for me ,the 28.5 size feels a 1/4 size too big. A 3mm thick foam insert under the liner filled in the slack room in the boot and eliminated some foot swimming in the boot I experienced.

These boots are perfect. They are so comfortable once heat molded and the flex let's you charge through anything. I wear the thinnest socks possible and they still keep my feet toasty on cold days. I can't come up with one complaint about these boots.

these boots are amazing. i got them at a ski show they were brand new i got them for 200 dollars. At first i thought they were to small but i heat molded them and they fit like a dream. They have such a smooth flex no pressure points like my old heads. Ski park amazing as well as anywhere on the mountain. I love the weight makes it soo easy to hop onto rails and jib. I am going to buy a different flex tongue because the 10 flex can get a bit stiff sometimes

Never had a boot fit so well. Right out the box I can spend a whole day shredding the pow, standing in lift lines or going out for a weekend tour. I have not had a single hot spot, shin bang or foot cramp. Super happy about this gear choice.

These boots I can highly reccomend. Pity it is so difficult to find a dealer in Norway..I would like my wife to try a pair of FT boots too if we find a dealer with the right size on stock (25).
