Comments about Full Tilt Boots High Five:

I'm really glad I switched to these boots.
I mostly ski in the backcountry, but by all sorts of conditions (hard snow, powder, ...) and on all sorts of terrains.

I has a very good hold once baked and once you find the buckles settings that are right for you.

The liner is very confortable, and maybe the progressive flex also has something to do with it, but I never had shin bang again since these boots (while I couldn't even ski groomers a few weeks ago).
Not to mention, it is super warm!

They are also 1kg lighter than the previous boots I owned, and I must say it feels great when skiing couloirs and forest, where maniability is important.

I had as few "hard spots" when I first skied with them, but heat molding the liners (10 minutes at 120 celcius degrees) with toe caps and a bit of extra foam to make them more roomy where it hurted, definitely solved the problem.

The only thing I'm not 100% happy about these boots is the instep buckle, which don't do much. The difference, wether you close it really tight or really lightly, is quite hard to notice.
To compensate, I fined-tuned the middle buckle tightness, and so far it does the job.

Also, it is true the boot kind of "put you back in place" if somehow you lend a jump a little backward, and I must said it saved my but a few times!

A very nice product that can do it all.

Love the Boot, been in it for about a month now and it gets better. The only issue I have had if the canting adjustment stripped the first time I adjusted it. I have contacted customer service and hope we can workout a replacement. Best boot I have ever been in.

Comments about Full Tilt Boots High Five:

I have gone through countles boots trying to find the pair that treated me right.
In the last 6 years I have owned and skiied these boots:
    Lange Banshee 120s
    Rossignol Scratch
    Dalbello Krypton's
    Solomon SPKs

And FINALLY the Full Tilt High Five.

I had tried on a pair of classics before I bought the Kryptons and loved the 3 piece design. However it was hard to find Full Tilt Locally so I settled to try the Krypton. However it was too narrow and left me with a lot of pain so I switched to the wider toed SPK Pro model and liked the width however they left me with cold feet and pressure on the top of my foot like a typical 4 buckle boot.

I have been cursed with a wide foot and high arch. With the 3-piece design I no longer have pressure on the top of my foot and the 102mm last gives my foot the breathing room. I love the active boot board for when I want to mix it up in the park and the boot is stiff and progressive when railing turns.

My one issue with the boot is the buckle design. Why couldn't we have the same ratchet system from the originals shell on the new influence shell? these clasps feel a little awkward in this configuration. When closing I sometimes have issues with them catching on the tongue. The ratchet is so nice and smooth I think they Should've just made a wider shell version and kept that same closure.

None the less I will never own another pair of ski boots.

took them to local ski shop so they would be heated properly... perfectly snug after that and all the tight/pain spots disappeared. they seem to be stiff normal boots to me. the 6 tongue barely bends when i lean into them so i dont think these would be good for anything in the park with jumps etc.

Comments about Full Tilt Boots High Five:

I used to ski the old Raichle comp SLs, and when I saw the marque revived, I knew I wanted full tilts.

Initially I wanted the konflict but picked this boot because I have a wide forefoot and always have hotspots, even though I blew out all prior boots.

This boot is much stiffer than the marketing documentation led me to believe (I'm 6'1", 210lb). I love the weight and performance. The high fives have PLENTY of pop and stability, and I am very satisfied with the boots' versatility due to its flex characteristics. Intuition liners are fantastic.

My only gripe is that there is no way to adjust the forward lean on this boot (without rigging some wedge between the shell and liner). I would also like to see FT bring out an even stiffer tongue for the influence shell.

Comments about Full Tilt Boots High Five:

In over 40 years of skiing I've owned many boots but this design (going back to the Raichle Flexon's series), I would still vote as the best boot design ever.

In years past, I used this design in deep powder, steep narrow terrain like Corbet's Couloir & Alf's High Rustler as well as nothing but ice at Killington, Vt. I always felt these boots gave me the edge over my super expert ski buddies.

My original Flexon's had been patched so many times that they finally just exploded when I stuck my tips into a hugh mogul at jackson.

Two years ago I found Full Tilt and immediately ordered a pair, ecstatically retiring my other boots. But I had forgotten how narrow and small the original style was for my wide feet. I didn't give up though, I gave this pair of FT's to my wife and bought the wider High Fives'.

Until now I had thought my age had caught up with me and my best skiing was far from over. But I just returned from Purgatory and confidence restored I was able to turn 'em (almost) like I used too. Most people say I have I fluid extremely smooth style in all terrain. I have to give some credit to these boots as it facilitates easy smooth, accurate, high confidence turning.
(To tell the truth, I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I always was!)

Also, my wife tore her ACL in August and we thought her skiing days were over, but I put soft tongues and her FTs and her knee held up well. Also she thought these boots were very warm - a big plus for women.

I would recommend this boot design for everyone, it has improved my skiing over the years and I don't see how it won't improve yours.
