        Summary (inc. Strengths & Weaknesses):

I have been struggling w/ boots for years.  Every boot I own prior, I've spent hours upon hours working on & fitting.  My gripe w/ just about every boot has been my wide feet & slush pouring into the overlap.  Often, the overlap fails to close.  To be fair, I tend to be in plugs.
This boots has a lot going for it.  My favorite characteristic is that the cabrio tongue means that there is zero slush into the shell.  The intuition liners are a nice upgrade from the Raichles of old.  Where I recall a pinch in the Raichles circa 1988, there are no such complaints now.  I was fearfull that this boot would be too soft, yet the 8 tongue is plenty responsive for all mtn skiing & high speed cruising.  I was rather suprise that the boot is rather responsive & is not anywhere near as springy as the older versions.

Strengths:  First the liner requires no work to be comfortable.  I simply inserted my foot & I was perfect.  It feels like a super slipper.  Really, I cancelled my fitting appt & have done zero work to them.  Next is the flex, I've heard that these are worthless on piste.  Could not be farther from true.  Even w/ a large stick...100-120 & even 125 mm skis, no issues w/ getting enough power.  I was going to swap for a #10 tongue, yet there was just no need.  The cables & the covers snug the boot rather well.  I'm convicned this is why the newer versions work so well : the newer plastic is more responsive & the liner perfectly forms to the body.  This allows for a perfect flex in a natural progression w/o the bottom out of a typical overlap.  As skiing being more "centered" this is really key.  The lighter weight & the lower stack height also allow the skis to be pivoted w/ the greatest of ease.  Again, a plus for a fatter ski.  When I needed to lay over & carve, the boot was plenty powerful. Yet the comfort is the most amazing part of this review.  I've skied in coaches boots, tele gear & just about every boot out there.......these win hands down.  Not only is the boot comfrtable to be in, it is comfortable to ski in.  All those shots to the front of the shins in a day skiing in an overlap are really noted once you ski in this boot.  The flex tongue & the lower stack height of the "retro" design allow the skier to 'feel' being a part of the ski & flex w/ the turn.  What I really noticed is that many of my other boots are lifted more ( & then I've added lifters 5-8mm) & this on a modern fat ski feels twitchy & disconnected.  Again, these are perfect right out of the box.   See the photos to view how low to the ski these are.

Weaknesses: This is not a race boot.  If you plan on spending your time in spandex- look elsewhere!   There are better boots for that purpose.   The other point about the FT is that if your don't fit, it will never work.  Many folks report that they simply don't have the foot for this boot.  My only real complaint was that I could not get a shorter lower cable.  That said, they are plenty snug......I just have racer tendancies.

Bottom line: If you ski & ski hard everywhere except on FIS injected surfaces, this is a hard boot to ignore.   As a hard core skier, I love this boot & because FT offers every part & liners, this boot will be serviceable for many seasons.  The new liners & plastics make this a true all round ripper.   I never thought a boot could be this good over just about the entire mtn.  I am also convinced that the low stack height & progressive flex have opened up the world of fat skis to this hold out.

I bought this boot 1.5 years ago. And I like it very much. Easy to step in and out of, good fit, warm and nice. But FT have to do something with the buckles. I have had a several problems. Buckles getting locked in a fixed position. And ice and snow stuck in the buckle and preventing me from fasten buckle. The last problem I have experienced several times when skiing in deep powder.

At first I was unsure of the flex. I fitted the stiffest tongue as I was sure it was too soft. Fit just got better and better. The lateral stiffness and precise fit performs like some foam boots that you can only wear for 20 minutes. I have changed my technique with these boots and I am very impressed. Only niggle is the quality of the buckles and terrible look for a 47 year old.
They are quite narrow and will not fit all feet.

I got the Seth Morrison boots and I love them! I am 6'1" and 235 pounds and I thought that the boots would not be good enough. I tried them in store and loved the feel. I then tried them with a 10 flex tongue and I was amazed! I skied it for the first time today and it was great! I am still keeping the 8 flex tongue for powder days. I really recommend it!

Comments about Full Tilt Boots Seth Morrison:

I skied in downhill racing boots for years and became accustomed to the aggressive stance, tight fit, cold feet, and inevitable shin bang. No matter what the 'upgrades' I did to my boots, from replacing the liner to the putting on new components, my feet and shins were usually quite sore at days end. This past year I purchased a pair of Morrison FT's with the Intuition Liner and since that fateful day, I have nothing but praise for what FT and Seth created.

Hands down, these are the best boots on the market. If you're serious about your skiing, you owe it yourself to get a pair of these bad boys. I ski from bell to bell, from the windy mtns of Breck, CO to the rain soaked peaks of Alpental, WA, and not once have my feet ever been in question. The support, the comfort, these boots just do it all.

As a ski instructor, I am used to all sorts of terrain and all excuses that come along with discomfort and poor fit from other boots. With FT, its like the boots were literally designed from my own personal grips and complaints and fixes them all from cold toes to comfort. As a freerider, from the park to the backcountry, my boots hold up like Wolverine's adamantium claws. I have banged them on rocks, trees, other skiers, side walls, rails, boxes, and everything else, and they still hold up. With the adjustable tongues, I can get the perfect amount of flex for a truly natural flex when I want to stomp my landings or carve a tight turn on a hard compression.

The parts are all replaceable but even so it is not like you even need to replace them, they Morrisons are just crazy durable. My only 'complaint' is the the aluminum buckles can ice over on really cold days, but with a few quick raps on the hand, they good to go. Keep em covered, ie don't fall and get them exposed, and its not even an issue in the first place.

In terms of support, the liner keeps my feet ridiculously warm. I have skied in the rain and in blizzard like conditions when temps drop to zero, and my feet have yet to cry out in discomfort. Even on the mild days when it can be 50 degrees, my feet are comfortable and still able to 'breath'. There's also the support...my feet just feel like they are a part of the boot. My arches are held perfectly and that alone goes a long way in terms of comfort. My ankles are supported with a level that I get only with my hockey skates. And my shins...it blows my mind how a liner so light and thin can offer that much cushioning. I used to get the hair on my legs rubbed off from the shin bang, not to mention the bruises. Now, that's just an ill forgotten memory.

FT clearly listned to Seth's complaints and input...every complaint you'd have for other boots, are addressed here. I simply can not give enough praise for these boots. If you have the means, get a pair of these. Get them BAKED as well, to truly customize your fit and utilize the full potential of the boot. Take care of them and they will last for years and treat you right so you can dominate the gnar.

Seth and FT...you have a customer for life.

Comments about Full Tilt Boots Seth Morrison:

I've only been skiing for three years so I'm no expert but believe me when I say these boots are SUPERB!

I made the switch this year from my Dalbello Voodoos and I couldn't be happier. Although I had to size up a 1/2 size from my Dalbellos, the boots actually fit more snug. Because of this, I am able to experience better control and power transfer.

I am also inclined to say that the liners probably play a big part of the success of these boots. I never heat molded mine and just used some insoles and they fit perfectly. I've got really narrow feet and skinny ankles and the liners just hold them altogether in place. These intuition liners do not "pack out" as much as people say they do. They are just as tight in Day 20 as they were in Day 1. I do not experience any shin bang, toe bang, or pinched spots.

Overall, I would recommend these boots to anyone who's got skinny feet and ankles.

The Seth Morrison boots feel perfect from the very first run, almost like you've skied in them for a while. They give you great control and flex perfectly. The only thing that could be better has notthing to do with performance; the color scheme and "punky" rivets could have been left out.
