Comments about Full Tilt Boots Seth Morrison:

Poor construction with buckles that break. I have had to change two of them. However, that is the easy part. These boots have a horrible fit. I have spent hours heating the liner, adjusting the shell and doing all I could to make them fit, without result. Spent 20+ days in them and they are still far from good. Furthermore the lean forward I find way too agressive for me. In summary, I will sell / dump these boots and get something new for next season. Don't buy!!!!!

Comments about Full Tilt Boots Seth Morrison:

If you get these boots, realize that in cold snowy weather the buckles WILL break and the warranty process requires your shop to pay shipping both ways to full tilt, while you the customer are stuck without your boots for months. The best boot fitters in the industry are starting to discontinue sales of full tilt because of horrible customer service and warranty processes. You will be stuck buying spare parts every other month and the new rubber soles fall apart quickly and even though they say they are replaceable, they are not available to purchase. Get the cheapest model, like the classic and make your own upgrades, the plastic buckles are more durable and thats why 30 year old flexons still have perfect buckle function.

Great fit, really snug around the foot. The liner is fantastic.

Buckles are far from OK. They are not quality. I have had to replace middle buckle on both boots after only three days of use. THREE DAYS! That is not OK.....

Comments about Full Tilt Boots Seth Morrison:

I tried the High Five, and it's much more like a standard four-piece boot, with a more rigid shin and less flex. I tried the Hotdogger, and it's similar to the Seth but the liner is quite plain with no articulation points above the heel, so my heel slid up; also too flexy for me. Then I tried the Seth and presto, everything I was looking for having used and loved some original Flexon Comps... continuous flex, enough stiffness, ankle grabbing heel points in the liner and shell form. I was so glad I was thorough in trying them all as I had made the mistake previously of buying, using and having to sell the wrong boot. This is the right boot.

          Summary (inc. Strengths & Weaknesses):

I have been struggling w/ boots for years.  Every boot I own prior, I've spent hours upon hours working on & fitting.  My gripe w/ just about every boot has been my wide feet & slush pouring into the overlap.  Often, the overlap fails to close.  To be fair, I tend to be in plugs.
This boots has a lot going for it.  My favorite characteristic is that the cabrio tongue means that there is zero slush into the shell.  The intuition liners are a nice upgrade from the Raichles of old.  Where I recall a pinch in the Raichles circa 1988, there are no such complaints now.  I was fearfull that this boot would be too soft, yet the 8 tongue is plenty responsive for all mtn skiing & high speed cruising.  I was rather suprise that the boot is rather responsive & is not anywhere near as springy as the older versions.

Strengths:  First the liner requires no work to be comfortable.  I simply inserted my foot & I was perfect.  It feels like a super slipper.  Really, I cancelled my fitting appt & have done zero work to them.  Next is the flex, I've heard that these are worthless on piste.  Could not be farther from true.  Even w/ a large stick...100-120 & even 125 mm skis, no issues w/ getting enough power.  I was going to swap for a #10 tongue, yet there was just no need.  The cables & the covers snug the boot rather well.  I'm convicned this is why the newer versions work so well : the newer plastic is more responsive & the liner perfectly forms to the body.  This allows for a perfect flex in a natural progression w/o the bottom out of a typical overlap.  As skiing being more "centered" this is really key.  The lighter weight & the lower stack height also allow the skis to be pivoted w/ the greatest of ease.  Again, a plus for a fatter ski.  When I needed to lay over & carve, the boot was plenty powerful. Yet the comfort is the most amazing part of this review.  I've skied in coaches boots, tele gear & just about every boot out there.......these win hands down.  Not only is the boot comfrtable to be in, it is comfortable to ski in.  All those shots to the front of the shins in a day skiing in an overlap are really noted once you ski in this boot.  The flex tongue & the lower stack height of the "retro" design allow the skier to 'feel' being a part of the ski & flex w/ the turn.  What I really noticed is that many of my other boots are lifted more ( & then I've added lifters 5-8mm) & this on a modern fat ski feels twitchy & disconnected.  Again, these are perfect right out of the box.   See the photos to view how low to the ski these are.

Weaknesses: This is not a race boot.  If you plan on spending your time in spandex- look elsewhere!   There are better boots for that purpose.   The other point about the FT is that if your don't fit, it will never work.  Many folks report that they simply don't have the foot for this boot.  My only real complaint was that I could not get a shorter lower cable.  That said, they are plenty snug......I just have racer tendancies.

Bottom line: If you ski & ski hard everywhere except on FIS injected surfaces, this is a hard boot to ignore.   As a hard core skier, I love this boot & because FT offers every part & liners, this boot will be serviceable for many seasons.  The new liners & plastics make this a true all round ripper.   I never thought a boot could be this good over just about the entire mtn.  I am also convinced that the low stack height & progressive flex have opened up the world of fat skis to this hold out.

I bought this boot 1.5 years ago. And I like it very much. Easy to step in and out of, good fit, warm and nice. But FT have to do something with the buckles. I have had a several problems. Buckles getting locked in a fixed position. And ice and snow stuck in the buckle and preventing me from fasten buckle. The last problem I have experienced several times when skiing in deep powder.

Comments about Full Tilt Boots Seth Morrison:

At first I was unsure of the flex. I fitted the stiffest tongue as I was sure it was too soft. Fit just got better and better. The lateral stiffness and precise fit performs like some foam boots that you can only wear for 20 minutes. I have changed my technique with these boots and I am very impressed. Only niggle is the quality of the buckles and terrible look for a 47 year old.
They are quite narrow and will not fit all feet.

I got the Seth Morrison boots and I love them! I am 6'1" and 235 pounds and I thought that the boots would not be good enough. I tried them in store and loved the feel. I then tried them with a 10 flex tongue and I was amazed! I skied it for the first time today and it was great! I am still keeping the 8 flex tongue for powder days. I really recommend it!
